Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tipped drills are designed for cutting highly abrasive materials and are recommended for use with aluminiun alloys, matrix composites, carbon fibre and plastic materials in which high speed steel or carbide will not perform satisfactorily.
Nixon Industrial Diamonds Ltd manufacture standard PCD tipped drills ranging from 3mm to 13mm in diameter. They can be supplied on either carbide or steel shanks to suit the application.
