Consumable multipoint dressing tools are normally used as a less expensive alternative to larger single point dressers for straight or form dressing. Hand set selected diamonds, graded to suit the grinding wheel grit size, share the load instead of a larger single diamond. They are maintenance-free dressers which only need replacement when the diamond content has been fully utilised.
